The best is yet to come

Deuteronomy 8:18

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
18 But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

The best is yet to come

1 John 3:1-3

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Children of God Love One Another

See [a]how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Faith - marketing concept?
What do we expect in this life of faith?
Must be a sense of reality.
"You must be born again" supernatural not intellectual. Experiential!

How fantastic to be called children of God.
New age: Children by creation not by God's children by relationship.

Called and actually are children! Said with enthusiasm! Emphatic!!

"The reason the world does not know us..." world=cosmos universe and creation greek: real- human society organized in wrong principles pagan society.

We've been different.

2 Corinthians 4:4

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
in whose case the god of this [a]world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving [b]so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Unbelievers doesn't appreciate the change.
"The world does not know us..."
Clear difference between you and the world you live in.

Now we are the children of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive [a]and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a [b]shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive [c]and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

How then should we live?
1. Live as a child of God.
2. Live aware of involuntary conflict. (If not everybody understand you) take it as a given.

1 Peter 4:12

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Share the Sufferings of Christ

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you;

3. Live fearlessly in Christ. (Don't fear trouble because Jesus will never leave you.)

1 Corinthians 10:14

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

4. Live purified (let God work on you continuously)
5. Live hopefully (you are in a better position to be hopeful than hopeless/pessimistic)
6. Live joyfully (every kernel of truth in criticism)

Life is not about fate its about how you set the sail. How you set your faith and keep your hope.
