The Great Commission
16 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 [a]Go therefore andmake disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you[b]always, even to the end of the age.”Araw araw talagang lumalabas tayo. Not part of the commission.
Nations = tribes
Great commission: Make disciples of all nations of all the tribes!
As a follower: disciple
A. You need public baptism = new allegiance; follower of Jesus Christ
B. Be taught on how to observe.
Observe: keep an eye on(like a prison guard) join a group that teaches.
Keep his eyes on the word of God para di makawala ang salita ng Diyos sa puso. Keep the word to yourself and obey.
I am with you always: Promise for 'discipled' Christians.
Blessing oriented Christians: "Ano ang ibigay sa akin ng Diyos. Kapag hindi na bless tatalikuran ang Diyos!"
Christ centered Christians must change the world.
Isaiah 6:8
Isaiah’s Commission
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Whom shall I send and who will represent us a question the Lord has asked a long time!
"I'm here Lord send me!" - Our response because we have be cleansed from our infirmities.
Errors:
1. Wrong view of the world - cause for alarm; this world is in trouble but it is not hopeless.
2. Wrong view of God - God still reigns!
3. Wrong view of their sinfulness
Represent God wherever you are!
"Lumabas ang mga pinili nya. Daming worshippers walang missionaries."
